I just have to do it.
I’m coming out today for the first time to my parents and to my friends as pansexual. I’ve known for quite some time but it’s taken me 6 years to find the courage to tell people. I was so afraid of being judged. People would never expect a goalie to be gay, I don’t fit the stereotype, people assume that just because I play hurling I’m supposed to be manly. But I just can’t pretend anymore. This is the last post I will make. I’m leaving to start a new life amongst people who will accept me for who I am, in Turkey. There, men are open about their sexual lives and there I will live happily with a new lifestyle and hopefully, a new love.
